Poem: The Pythoness

Poem: The Pythoness

In its wake winter took me.

Shook, shivering strong winds curled up inside.

Occupied my focus,

my imagination.

Felt frost bitten,

Edgy sharp uncommunicative patterns.

Became visible across that reptile skin.

Raw my brain hibernated .

Slumbering on the doorstep to my mind.

Shivering occasionally in meditation.

I watched that creature.

Convoluted pulsing, pythoness.

Requiring warmth to inspire my amygdala reptile.

Rodent like, spring moved forward.

Black unconscious eyes

Flicked with a forked tongue .

Tasting it’s air, a deep need to feed on creativity.

Lashed out grabbing prey.

Peristalticly digesting, ingesting the nutrients .

The life restoring substance of sunshine.

Rejuvenates activates initiates my brain again.

Slithering she slides down deep,

Into the dark rich humus of my imagination.

Or is it the Pythia, Delphi

Once called the Oracle.

Waiting to awaken?

Poem: Leaving

leaving,

we take what we have and go

leave behind what we do know.

depart, from you, leave without the one.

alone again my steps drag heavy from fun,

….the share & care & lovingly.. begun.

leaving,

I have only me with bags galore

leave find that together is so much more

depart , from us, the fullness so complete…

alone again the fleeting feel now obsolete,

….the talk & laugh & completely.. alone

leaving,

leaves me quite in the now, still

leave me naked stripped of feeling how

two companions captured in the now of love

depart, to start the day alone again

…the touch & feel & fullfillingly.. pain

wind strokes, me, your cheek too

sun warms me, your skins feels its touch,

who holds the softness, you, I miss so much

thoughts brush the smile oft on your lips

my smile the memory of the kiss

…leaving, we leave.. The bliss

Poem: The imminent immortality

Poem: The imminent immortality.

In the frailty of this uncertain moment.

between the draw of a breath

The uncertain thud of my heart .

Me In waves I wonder why.

Why should it be I?

I who caught the chill.

The dark death filled thrill of disease .

It’s Inevitability, my fragility.

This uncertain momentary me.

Between the telephone calls.

Between the doctors stalled look.

Between the jagged stabs of self inflicted pity.

I wonder-where my soul

Will go, when my body

Turns the key

Turns away from life to die.

To let me go

To let me fly

To let infinity fill the view

To touch the eternity I once knew.

Loved shared laughed and grew.

From a lad from the family that made so glad, happy too.

Those days abundant care filled free.

Returns the chill to the now, of me.

Imminent this immortality.

Poem: The Insecurity

POEM: The Insecurity

I am vulnerable to the sharp wind.

It reminds me that I am alive and warm.

My hearts warmth is not to be stolen though or corrupted by my insecurities.

Shadows which brush my awakening.

Shade under which I try to hide from the heat of realization,

or is this recognition?

Uselessly irrelevant,

Knowledge spearpoints ambiguity’s indecisiveness.

Pling….

Its cold which comprises me the most.

Creeping in from the periphery , fingers, toes, cheeks, nose.

Stealing into my marrow

I fight back to maintain me,

eyes fixed on the light,

-in the light .

Letting beams of love through.

Penetration speared clarity

Pins those squiggling doubts.

Wide eyed to the walls of my consciousness.

It’s the flame of hope which I’ll never let go of or dessert.

For I will pass this on to my children

The children of Mother Earth.

Poem: My Red Balloon 🎈

Poem: My Red Balloon

From the edge of the moon,

With my silver spoon .

I’ll scoop heavens honey,

Let fly my balloon.

Catch fly away meteorites

With a net made of silk

While slowly nipping my hot glass of milk.

Those fancy old planets,

Dressed up for the night.

Play hide me & seek me,

With cosmic delight.

The party’s not over,

The fun just begun

Stars wiggle & Squiggle ,

wanting also to come.

To join , play & tumble

right out of the sky.

Eat candy & popcorn just like you & I

The Window frost covered,

Alone in my room.

Gaze out in the night sky,

On the edge of the moon.

Where they are all playing…..

with my red baloon.

Poem: Let’s get in step

Poem: Let’s get in step

I will love & find a way to step into your stride,

Hold your hand in storm & in surging tide.

Wide, spread welcome arms to fold you in a happy cry.

A laugh, a simple beating of my heart.

The hearth, the home a we grown place well known.

Can you, could you, should you, will you, step in & touch,

Embrace, the pacing thud of loves red blood ?

The day, the moment of your turning step.

The door is wide, a stage new set.

In stride we march,

An eyebrow arched.

A twinkle from a smile is cast.

Into the dawning of a bright new day,

On sunbeams warm I carry you.

Here with me, now to stay ….

Forever & yet one more day .

Poem: The Journey Revised

Poem: The Journey

Dusty my feet.

Each speck, speaks of things seen or done along life’s way.

Enriched with gold I say.

The patina of me knocks to the opening door .

Upon the floor, the dust is washed away.

Remains the gold,

His words invite, they hold.

Me shining , for this new day.

A journeys end I’m whole,

My home, my soul, my way.

Poem: Paradise

Poem: Paradise

The cherry picked and eaten,

The day so ripe and blue.

Your lips they shine like deep red wine.

I laugh and so do you.

As wild and sweet the berry,

The buzz of bees they sing.

In the air your golden hair,

Shines with the bell that rings.

The fruit the life the loving,

The way our journey spins.

To that place in paradise,

The end where this begins.

Poem: Before the Touch

Poem: Before the Touch

Before you touch.

Before her hands intertwine with mine.

Before we greet, eyes

Moist with the dew of dawn.

Appreciate the subtlety.

Enjoy the knowing that you’re also being absorbed.

Soaked into fabric of her mind.

What ever soul might be,

be it this.

A magical, invisible yet intangible touch.

It’s pungency lingers like carnations.

Carrying my heart out of my body.

I’m flooded with words,

Awed in standing silence.

Quivering our lips smile & we meet

The moment beautiful.

Poem: The Shell

Poem: The Shell

Whilst walking forth on a shelly strand,

Squeak fresh grains of salty sand,

crunch & grind , waves surge & pound,

I stoop & scoop , a thing profound ,

I’d found.

An unknown form of sheer delight,

This thing unique to me.

I question creations geometry .

What genius deep in cosmic mind ,

Did Create this fantasmagorical find?

Some subtle touch of starry light ,

Spinning far in a galactic night,

Weave forming threads , gestalt begins.

Evolutionary cosmology.

Geometrical congeniality.

The spiral form unfolds in loops.

Filigrain structure convolutes.

A galactic form finds growing life.

The planet spins,

Thousands spawn , new life begins, a thing is born.

Braced between the wet & lee,

Feet awash in froth blown sea.

This micro cosmic miracle lies,

The macro cosmic in the sky’s

Asleep it’s secrets keep me high

I live the question , the meaning ,

why?
