Poetry: The Apple

Poetry: The Apple 🍎

by Liam

I have read ten thousand pages

Learned the scriptures and memorized the

Speeches of the

Wise, old and true

Yet you over there

Watch the silence of air

Unfold in patterns

Untold in beauty

This transmigration of thoughts pure fruit

Plucked from the tree of Love

It’s gentle branches embracing my mind

Its soft leaves giving shadow to my rest

It’s roots anchoring my life in the reality of today

Sing, while I cry in joy

Thankful for this sweet taste of life.

Poetry: Evening

Poem: Evening

Evening

As this day now leaves to lie,

Rays once warm they fill the sky.

In colors changing to heaven bright.

The blues to hues of reds, the white the golden might.

Of a day departed and with me too.

One more moment of bliss complete.

Of touch and love of fleeting happy you.

Yes, you an angel dancing high.

Dancing clouds you cross my eye .

Your horizon lies with me this day.

You fill the night with a starry sky,

with sparks,

with thoughts,

with dreams,

with intervening flashes we unite.

Build a picture, a cosmology ,

A heaven, a party book of light.

Closing now my eyes to sleep

The wonder in my breast I’ll keep.

Till waking neigh on mornings wing

A new, a day together we’ll sing.

Poetry: A Midnight Swim

Poem: Midnight Swim

by Liam

Last night I tiptoed through a starlit sky

Warm the air, the splash of ripple

A seagull cry

A twinkle, a smile, a squeak of joy

Both I, the moon and Saturn too

We all alive enjoy this expance

Of a Milky Way on a clean dark night

Of shooting stars from left to right

Of this all encompassing romance.

I splashed my feet in the warm wet sea

The dark, the water, of feeling free

So swimming out to touch the light

Left by the moon on this starry night

My soul rejoicing, I sang a song

Of life, of free, of me

Of being part of infinity

Feeling love for this moment strong

Reflections,

Images of a cosmic night

Revelations in the dark,

A universe we see, we touch

So much to comprehend

The beginning and the very end.
