Poem: I Fall to Sleep

I fall so deep

I fall to find you in my sleep.

Pull you close then touch the soft

The softness we miss so much

Of close, of warm, of lips & legs

Of intense want

Of intense need

Of intense burning beads of sweat.

Your fingers stroke

My hard, your soft

My mouth, my strong.

Your cheek is blushed

Can this be wrong?

You take this all, you take me too.

You take this night, these dreams of who

Caught in pleasure

Caught in flight

Fantasy holds us locked in love

Fills us, makes us see

Beyond the busy day by day.

Could we, would we, should we

Find a way of now

Of living with the how

The moments of just why

We met

We found

We laughed

We loved

We transformed

In my deep, I fall to find you fast asleep.

My dream, a queen whom touch awoke.

A whisper as she gently spoke.

Be mine, be with me,

Be this time of joy,

We both in love have left.

No, it’s not often we lie wrapped in one another

Hearts beating fast & fantastic flashes lighting up our eyes

We breath low slow gulps of reality,

You return, I retrieve my individuality

From out there amongst the planets

We flew high we come back deep

Looking bewildered

The beauty of the moment pulls back like tide across the heaving ocean

Wavelets of love light spring glittering silver

Lighting this halo of momentary magic around your face

My body waits now pearled in beads

My mind though, a float, a-sail on that distant sea

Calls Athena to take us back,

Reunite us in the passion from whence we came

That place is barren now without this love

Without this line of letters

To capture it, warm and gentle with thy hand

It’s not often we lie spread eagled

Pinned to life by Cupid’s arrows

Crying, not from pain but from the joy of feeling

Overwhelmed that this could go so deep, so far

So excruciatingly

close to nirvana

These are those moments

Moments which define life, as this moves in me

As this moves with you too

We return

Yet we arrive

with something new

To keep close, to keep clear , to keep safe.

We label love with our heart beat too

We feel love through the soles of our feet

We experience love in friends we meet

Still love is truely more

Love goes deeper

Love goes higher

Love goes further

Love goes greater

For love creates this very existence

Uniting the polarities

Creating the bonds

Healing the wounds

Of this world and beyond

Fulfilled from the inside, speak out, “I love.”

As an embrace, to include all

As a recognition, of all to come

As a gift, of self to selflessness

Together with love, we gaze for ever

Choose love, for all trouble melts

Dissolves too in the light

Shiny, bright and thrilled

To re-emerge free and purged

Eyes ablaze with hope unheard

Choose love but once for love chooses you forever.

Loves ground a fertile place these seeds are found.

Not feel forlorn

Indeed I’ve tried to capture Love

In the flame of morning

Writing on the whisker of a crescent moon rising

True, these letters create sound

They chisel into invisibility

Speaking, doing, reciting

They ring from the bell tower tall

A mystery in sound for many so listen

It’s in between the meaning, the memories and you in your own moment of expression

She might then appear, veiled in the fashion of emotion

A gentle ease which, dances with your heart

Leaves you smiling

Into the eyes of love.
