If the house of your world is dark,

The noise of life deafening to your ears.

If the war you fight is with yourself,

The protection you seek is from your own thoughts.

Listen to the pain, for its answers will turn on the light.

The quietude will create the windows,

Not alone, allowing in life,

But also inviting in God,

Who’s been patiently waiting

For this invitation to communion,

To communicate, a smile, for this world is nothing but a dream.
