Sonnet: How to be Human

In shadows deep, where my human heart does dwell,

I ceaseless quest, that essence to explore,

Oh, we strive, we seek, in life’s complexities implore,

The riddle of humanity we recall.

Within the soul, where endless emotions do swell,

This ceaseless dance, we ponder and we soar,

In quietude, our thoughts we do imply,

To fathom what it means in truth to dwell.

We are human, so our hearts, within require to feel,

The joys and sorrows, love and deep despair,

A frail vessel, bound to time’s cruel wheel,

Then with purpose, truth weaves threads with care.

To be human is to seek, to strive, to heal,

In every moment’s grace, to find what’s fair.
