I awake, my face to the dawn
In this lifting light, it
Carries me from unconsciousness dark
To the awareness of my day
Crossing a threshold
My mind reflects the dream of night
Onto the doorstep of today
Here create moments
Towards which I now accord my life
Move forward in such a way as to
Integrate into the magnificent moment of this planet
The peace which we inherit with its grace

Let me be the sun which dissipates the morning dew
Each droplet dissolving into the universal blue
Building rainbows filled with color bright Together love breaks the light, creating a bridge, a bow
A path of care, grace and inspiration
Which again binds us molecule by molecule
Across each day, into each night
Till again we rise as the morning haze
Dusting dawn from our bleary gaze
The mist, droplet by droplet breathtakingly fine
Refracting wide those rays divine
Allowing in the love, the birds that sing
So we rise again and embrace life
From invisible to magnificent again and again.

“Why bother with time at all?”
“It’s in timelessness we are kissed,

Waiting at the door
Took my breath for a moment
I took it back and more
Spoke to it, then beyond it
Moving forward with resolve
Stepping forward with intent
Fear hidden in the shadows
Around the unconscious corners of my mind
Is a misdemeanor of my own judgement
Eking out its existence in a changed world
Peace is the new paradigm for progress
Happiness the new paradigm for health
Love the new paradigm for social integration
Lifting fear from that pedestal of fame
Placed now beneath the stair
A dusty place where it continues to corrode
Disintegrate under the weight of its own outdated reality
The light, just watch it
For this is the way home.
