Poetry: The Heart of the Sun

In the heart of the sun, is my celestial fire,

I dance with eternity this starlight inspires,

It’s in creation’s debris, we worldwide reside,

A symphony of wonders, you cosmically hide.

Tomorrow emerges within its glow,

Consciousness aflame, in a vibrant flow.

Connecting realms, bridging time and place,

Love’s heart beats alive, transcending space.

Tick tock, tick tock, the clock we defy,

Let time flow, mindfulness draws me nigh.

Beyond the boundaries of what I know,

To the planets these oceanic currents flow.

Infinity and starlight guide our way,

In their cosmic embrace, we will forever stay.

So let us bask in the sun’s gentle caress,

In its warmth, finding solace, we can heal the chaos.

Poetry: Blue

A tree, it’s such a grandiose thing,

Swaying majestic in the wind.

The leaves of green, they dance and sing,

This movement of a living thing.

So huge, so vast, so naturally it orchestrates

The way this day symphonically collaborates

The subtle sound which rustles from its limbs

Nature plays it’s concertos so simply this tune rings

Flying too, indeed I might with those clouds

White, skidding high across my view.

Its leafy fingers grasp those shredded shrouds.

All shaking magnificence in the blue.

I wonder, lying on my back,

If I could do this too?

Just what is what and who is who.

Tree, sky, cloud, me and blue.

God, not only speaks,

Through the language of nature,

Also, in the words we whisper to ourselves.

God writes,

Beautiful wisdom across the tapestry of your heart.

These feelings, these impressions wait,

Patiently for our stillness,

For the quiet moments of inner peace and tranquillity,

Sparkling from the reflection of your soul.

It’s bird song,

It’s the flute,

It’s a splashing brook,

Which create the words,

Which sing God’s song.

Listen up, to feel the mystery of this music,

For it’s written across your heart,

A manuscript of love,

A book of joy,

A letter of forgiveness,

Alone for you to read,

Alone for you to discover and share.

Poetry: Ode to the Dragonfly

Oh Dragonfly, a creature of enchanting grace,

With wings that shimmer in the sun’s embrace.

When I shift my sight from outward to within,

A world of wonder, a realm unseen, begins.

In kingdoms unseen, here perspectives intertwine,

“Me and myself”, in harmony divine.

With inner eye, I glimpse the start,

In this union, joy ignites my heart.

Amidst the verdant grass, a green blade thrives,

Or mightily like the gnarled oaks lives.

Dragonfly wing, swift and nimble, strikes its prey,

Lark’s melodies echo across each day.

It’s after our earthly sojourn is complete,

Do we dissipate, untangle, and retreat.

But while we live, let us truly see,

The wonders around us, oh, God in me.

Alone, I walked, a drifting cloud; in blue, the sky was me.

A heart that sung a poet’s verse, with nature’s honesty.

Meander through the valley green, the brook did sprightly flow,

To a lark’s rejoice, I turned my head, to find the way to go.

That golden orb did smiling shine upon my steady tread,

The wind whisper’s mystery, left footprints in my head.

Upon a lake in turquoise, I stumble, as by chance,

Find I the world is crocus, all across my glance.

Those purple petals flutter in a sea before me spread,

Within each, a piece of gold, the stamen’s tiny head.

So with these words, I wonder, with nature’s treasured game,

About the world, I send this praise, all in God’s very name.

You might have lain upon life’s shore

The waves a crashing like the lions maw

In that place of thunder occurred

A voice which speaks,

Without words was heard

A soul, at peace, in wonder free

We dance to the might of an oceanic me

Playing to the roar of our life’s song

Nature, the music which carries us on

It’s in these moments of contemplate

Surrounded by a wildness we activate

We let go, we become free, we unify, we see

The Wave, the beach, the storm and thee.

Poem: Mother

A bowl of flowers, on the tables wood.

In a pool of sun, the fragrance stood .

Like a watercolour painting which timelessly spins.

Radiant , streaming sweet scent and the stems.

Stamen, petals, blossoms, leaf together tight

The bouquet of color so radiant bright

Held in a crystal, a bowl she did say

A mothers gift, from my mother today.

This care which the colors convey?

Sweet memories fill me with joy each day,

Of daffodils, chrysanthemums, and lilacs too,

Of lilies, red roses, and of you.

Though days have passed, these flowers still bloom,

Their sweet scents beauty dispelling gloom.

Reminders of moments shared when you were near,

Now cherished memories, forever held dear.

And yet, beauty still radiates from within,

Caught in a vase, these flowers remind me of when

Your charm and joy lit up my world,

In every bloom, mothers love unfurled.

The crash of wave on cobbled rock

The seagulls cry, the ring of a clock

Oh! the endless motion of the waves filled tide

The call to life, the need of being free

The scuttling urchin, across the kelp filled sea

I searching find times this, times that

Points towards a matter of fact

Oh! We find alive all what we seek

Smiling, now feeling joy I see

The simple treasure of how to be free.
