Poem: Equanimity

While walking the rim of a moon-swept sea,

Arm in arm with a thought called me.

We chatted, we talked, we pondered on high,

About the meaning of being, of seeing, of I.

The roar of surf, the sweep of tide,

In the blood-red pulse, a seagull cried.

In this screech, shone the moon-filled sea,

The moment deep, the you in me.

We now unite in a flash of sight,

The I who we were before the call.

My paradigm absorbed in newfound light,

Two melted to one, this emergent in all.

Inspired insight happens within you too,

A way to see, a way to feel, a way to become equanimity.

Poetry: The Feather

These wings with which I’m born,

Their invisibility gives me strength to adorn,

To soar where few birds cry,

High clouds where eagles fly.

With these pinions wide we glide

How we see amazes me

even more,

Blind, I move across oceans wide and far,

Above snow-covered peaks

your shining star.

Hand in hand, together we find,

What we had flown for,

Who we came to discover

How we’d been lost, but then found

A heartbeat within eternity,

A wing stroke from infinity,

This feather, with which my love song is blessed.

Poem: Experience the Insight

Aware, within this moment, I wake not in serenity,

But in thoughts caught up with yesterday’s intricacy.

A breeze lifts my sight,

Quietly admitting in the light.

Mentally a flowers bud unfolds

Revealing the subtle frailty.

The intimacy of understanding the invisible

Insight into tomorrow’s untold tale.

The sagacity of this interconnected glory

Tweaking my puzzledness, I cry out in surprise,

Smiling unpremeditatedly, I’m drawn deeper,

Made freer, more universal in this uniqueness.

It’s the steady mindful focus

Me pushing forward into my depths.

Snooping around in my subconscious menagerie

Collecting crumbs, fragments minuscule titbits and insights

It’s then in the letting go we move

Flowing forward, slipping into the groove

Perceptivity answers, echoes with a shiny reflection

Like sweetly eating a plump berry

It’s rush of taste, making me cringe

Before I realize it’s not quite ripe

Indeed insight, is only sweet when ready

Let me see it all, if only I remain steady.

Poetry: Children of Earth

Am I at the mercy of cutting cold’s embrace?

It’s a poignant reminder that I’m still alive, ablaze.

My warm heart stands resilient, benevolent,

Unyielding to doubt, threat, or negligence.

From the periphery, cold comes, stealthy and sly,

Seeping through skin, causing a quiet cry.

Fingers, toes, cheeks, nose, all succumb,

As it merges into my core, freezing me too numb.

I then gather strength, a battle begins,

Facing this cold, as determination wins.

Gaze fixed upon the warming ray,

Love’s radiance, these cold doubts it’ll slay.

Love that burns as worth’s unwavering counterpart,

The flame of eternal hope, a beat of an inspired heart.

This legacy I’ll hand down, a gift to embrace,

For all the children of Earth, irrespective of race.

Blue, all blue and green, the growth,

Its soul, all soul, the singing world’s suspense.

I’ve heard across the oceans, thundering, both,

Above the forests too, its whispering response.

Sweet voices, blown in on the breeze,

Fine tunes awake in my awareness, exhale.

Capture my attention, initiate the intent, freeze,

Then stretch forward, open to embrace then inhale.

Birdsong brings joy to this day,

Enhances the way I perceive my rhyme.

An entity among the myriads, life has brought forth today,

Reminding myself, it’s but a dash through time.

We read lines, we hear rhyme,

We sigh, we become sublime.

A whisperer of stories uncovered by time and space.

The listener and transformer, both reside,

Within your being, is the power to unfold.

It’s you who’ll turn the tide, make dreams collide,

With every whispered tale that you’ve been told.

So heed these whispers, woven with your art,

Poetry: Soul Search

Embrace the shadow to search the night,

My hungry soul now seeks the light.

Amidst the void of this lost dream,

I find a flash, a star that gleams.

Between gnarled woods and mountains tall,

This search for meaning never stalls.

My steps are a quest, on a pilgrimage divine,

The inquisitive thirst is my soul’s design.

Amongst ancient tomes and thoughts and verse,

I seek truths, a quest that’s first.

Seek I in temples, in mosques, and church spires too,

The essence of being, my soul requires you.

We laugh, we dance, and tomorrow’s tears,

A soul needs meaning to calm its fears.

It’s the fleeting moment, a lifetime weaves,

Our quest eternal, this heart believes.

With my every breath, a glimpse I find,

This purpose of my existence is entwined.

Through the embrace of love in a moment’s grace,

My soul’s hunger found its place.

It’s in the vast expanse of time and space,

I search, I seek, I dream, I embrace.

A soul’s need for meaning wanes,

An eternal quest, forever remains.

Amidst daffodils and frangipani, I do belong.

Words twirl and soar on a gentle breeze,

Shadows they waltz beneath tall green trees.

In harmony with the buzzing hornets’ flight,

They pirouette, to a magical tunes delight,

Upon spiderweb, in a dew-kissed haze,

A ladybirds’ dance, on a leaf amaze.

Let’s Embrace the rhythm of this precious chance,

We choose joy over strife, in life’s grand dance.

In each step, we opt for love, not a fight,

Guided by truth, we strive to do right.

Together, we share smiles and dry each tear,

United by music that draws us near.

Let us celebrate in this symphony profound,

To our dance of life, from these words’ sweet sound.

A voyage unfolds to realms unknown,

I morph into the cerulean, gasp!

Shattered chains against these walls are thrown,

Where is reality? Wear I but a mask?

Unveiled, the broken world shines through the crack,

Embrace my mortality, yet let love linger still,

This transmutation which brings me back,

Awake I now new, unified with God’s will.

Stride forth as one, adorned with tones, hues,

You, cast off thy shroud of somber ambiguity,

Conceal not your brilliant vision, awaken new,

Manifest the truth, thy colors revealing authenticity.

Beneath the full moon’s genteel flow,

We stand aghast, watch the world below.

Sharing a moment in your experience is vivid,

It’s new, it enables me to reassemble my sandcastle of insights,

Building a fortress of lofty blown clouds,

Vast, more coherent, more in touch.

You touch me too, in mysterious mystical nuances,

Moments in which

Recognition pats me quietly on the shoulder,

Déjà Vu mingles in these meetings.

Suspended between the alpha and the omega,

We experience ourselves woven inextricably into the fabric of life,

Spun threads of cosmic fluff finding meaning,

Magically discovering how deeply delicious life has become.
