Poem: Wake Up

My power to forgive

Tore down those fortresses, your castles of protection.

This epiphany of ultimate strength

Is my liberation from self-destruction.

For I’ve become accustomed to being alone.

Truly, unexpectedly, the immature shattered,

The me that mattered emerged,

Perhaps a little shaky,

Perhaps a tad unsure.

I recognized the moment was mine, not yours.

“You, you,” you said,

“I’d die!”

God!!! Thanks be, for true I did.

Not what you imagined—though! No.

I discovered behind the insecurity of immaturity,

A beautiful new stranger,

Who but me!

Naked, filled with identity, truth, light & love.

In death,

Transmutation turns to transcendence.

This is beyond the insignificance of your little egotistical theater.

Grow up, brother!

Grow up, sister!

For your time of insignificance is also over.

Wake up.

Wake up.

Wake the heck up!

For it’s in the stillness, a symphony does reside,

A tapestry of insights, where answers do confide.

Yes, stop your weaving, yet embrace the tranquil air,

And witness now, how silence refines your every affair.

In the cadence of existence, it’s not mere words or verse,

The blink of an angel’s eyelash , a rhythm is immersed.

Within the pause of punctuation, your realization unfurls,

Melody and meaning, through the empty space, it swirls.

We discover deep within us, born in this tranquil place .

That which underlies our understandings grace,

A quietude of magnificence how peace thus found is heard.

Fly swift white dove to find us all, who seek their own true words.

Go, find freedom, unfold your myth,

Discover yourself, create this bliss.

For it’s in lost moments of despair,

A secret path emerges where.

We walk the talk of our own spoken word.

The wisdom, to change myself and be heard.

With this desire, all others diminish,

Only love’s language is never quite finished.

Not to mold the world, but recreate anew,

By dissolving the ego, we find God anew.

In the vast expanse, the heart, an ocean wide,

Where thoughts like waves in ceaseless motion flow,

The pebbled shoreline, where our spirits bide,

Reveals the depths of what your heart may stow.

To every soul, it speaks in silent tones,

Sharing secrets kept in ocean’s hidden chest,

These whispered truths, like ancient stones,

The ocean’s depths, with longing hearts, confessed.

For within the heart, the tides reside,

Your world of feelings, surging deep and wide,

The pebbled shore, a mirror to the soul,

Reflects the love and dreams that make us whole.

Poetry: The Tree

Just outside my window, there stands a golden tree.

Every leaf in autumn is a letter left for me.

Some have many colors, from green to crispy brown.

I keep these in a big old book hidden in the lounge.

On each leaf’s a story. I’ll share one if you like.

“Be patient, kind, and curious,” I’m reminded of this day.

“Grow to be the truth in you,” another leaf did say.

“Light is where we come from; light is where we go.”

“Love is all creation, so always let it grow.”

These words, they are whispered by a whisperer deep in thee,

Written down by God’s own hand, on leaves below the tree.

Now while you walk amongst them, feet firmly on the ground,

Keep your eyes on God’s good love,

And you too will be found.

Poetry: Love’s Ballet

Take the cue, embrace love, start anew,

Auburn locks aflutter in this tender ballet.

Dance, let your feet tell a tale, of a love imbued,

With twirls and swirls allow your heart lead the way.

Free up your mind, the observer’s applause will ring,

For within you, love’s magic takes a chance.

Here, in this beautiful chaos, our spirits cling,

These wild minutes of freedom, love’s sweet romance.

Threads entwined, as we draw ever closer,

To a time without a beginning or an end,

We will dance a ballet to our own composer,

Following the magic, forever till we ascend.
