Sonnet: I am the I am

In these lockets, find I not my essence,
Nor does my skin reveal its true ident.
For deep in me resides a Soul immense,
Creating who I am with temperament.
These lips, these eyes express not my metaphor.
Yet hidden in the depths, the Spirit dwells.
Unseen, yet powerful, it will endure,
This guiding force within me shall swell.
These hands, these feet, they are not my name,
They serve me but are not my being.
A vessel incomplete, yet not in vain,
My Body hosts the Soul, forever seeing.
My looks, my style do not define my worth,
For I’m a Universal child by birth.
Not constrained by you or others’ say, I

You believe I am blind to your plight.
Come hither, don’t sleep,
Place yourself behind my sight,
Now see through me, look deep.
What your belief thought was blind,
Instead, is a place of pure delight.
This hidden space, you find,
With which we also see, called insight.
“How?” you ask. I see your charade,
Light fills me from within, and with this truth,
We see not your facade but God,
I see all which blocks you from your youth.
The struggle, the pain, I now see your night,
By closing my eyes, allowing second sight,
Quieten my thoughts, feel what’s true,
Intuitively knowing, I can feel what it’s like to be you.

In the heart of the sun, is my celestial fire,
I dance with eternity this starlight inspires,
It’s in creation’s debris, we worldwide reside,
A symphony of wonders, you cosmically hide.
Tomorrow emerges within its glow,
Consciousness aflame, in a vibrant flow.
Connecting realms, bridging time and place,
Love’s heart beats alive, transcending space.
Tick tock, tick tock, the clock we defy,
Let time flow, mindfulness draws me nigh.
Beyond the boundaries of what I know,
To the planets these oceanic currents flow.
Infinity and starlight guide our way,
In their cosmic embrace, we will forever stay.
So let us bask in the sun’s gentle caress,
In its warmth, finding solace, we can heal the chaos.

While gazing out across yonder sea,
Cerulean, the sky, but deep within me.
A seagull cries, and in my mind,
A distant question is what I find.
That beady eye, as if it had known,
My thoughts benign had moved and grown.
Upon those wings which soared up high,
To see the new, to touch this phantasmagorical view.
The reason, the meaning, I wondered why?
“A sea, a life, and a deep blue sky,”
Embedded therein, the mind blissed me,
What was aware? Why at one with thee?
A vista new is born within our sight,
We touch, we integrate the clouds, the light.
Within this panorama is a palace, free,
Expand the idea, understanding your, me.
An infinitesimal seed,
A macroscopic jump,
A consciousness need,
An unconscious bump.
Who then is this I?
Who then is this me?
What then is the self, if set free?
My name, it fades, and with it, identity too.
The grasping need of having, too.
To possess, to own, or to dictate.
But wait, wait, wait.
Let’s pause again to ponder and enumerate,
To recall all as this dictate reiterates.
That beauty, joy, and freedom abound,
It’s in my mind where this is found.
