Poem: Rediscovered

Hidden by the shadow of my disregard ,

Gratitude, became a threadbare cloak.

Draped across weary shoulders, I spoke.

Collapse I to my knees,

burdened, self marred.

Too long now, have I starved my soul,

Letting love wither, life denied.

Blinded within, ignorance my guide,

Tears once warm, now cold control.

Why let I selfish arrogance lead me astray?

When simplicity beckons, pray, “Thank you!“

Oh Joy! Be now my newfound feast,

Gratitude’s embrace, revitalizing every facet of today.

A renewal, a rebirth, a heartbeat free,

Thankful, for each dawn, each breath, each stride.

I hold aloft a prayer, cast a aside my pride.

Deep within, in a silent hymn, I finds me.

Sonnet: Let’s Dance

Amidst the chaos of my busy mind,

I oft forget my purpose and my joy,

My heart weighs heavy, hard to unwind,

To dance life’s sacred steps,

I my soul deploy.

Created to love, to smile, to uplift, this life

To join in the dance with others all around,

But entangled in life’s burdensome strife,

My entangled feet, are held firm to the ground.

Oh Blessed peace, untangle, set me free,

My soul, aligned my heart renewed and pure,

That I may fly and spread contagious glee,

With every loving step, a smile to procure.

So let us spin, oh Beloved, let’s sway,

And share the joy that’s meant for us each day.

In evening twilight, the sun bids farewell,

Every soul must depart, each of us must fly ,

Into the starlight, our truth doesn’t lie.

Let the sickle moon soar, and cast its spell.

Written into the cosmos, etched by that hand,

We’re but fools, blinded by conflicting alarm.

Warring with kin, estranged from our charm.

Fate’s gentle dance, is a destiny planned.

Brothers sisters, let’s link arms, no longer divided we stand,

In the mystery of life, let peace us command.

For it’s in unity’s embrace, our spirits align,

And in love’s embrace, true sisterhood shines.
