Poem: Blaze through Life

by Liam

I would rather be ashes than dust,

A spark that burns out in a brilliant blaze,

Than stifled by dry-rot, left to rust,

Or the meteorite in a magnificent haze.

Every atom in me will glorious glow,

Above a somnambulant planet, cold and slow.

The function of man is to live, not to exist,

Not to waste these days in a futile twist.

I use my time well, not prolong it in vain,

For life in the world also means embracing pain.

Yet beyond this point, we need create,

A world of our own, to meet with fate.

Life always gives us the chance to a new,

To start fresh, blaze a trail of truth.

It’s never too late to start again,

To explore, to learn, and transform the pain.

Life is so short, our time so brief,

To explore, to learn, and reconnect to belief.

So burn bright, ablaze with meteors high,

Leaving trails of light as we move on by.

Be inspiration for those who follow this flight,

A testament to life’s struggle, then lived right.

Let’s make the most of our raging time,

Blaze brilliantly, on into our living prime.

Before the Web.

Do you remember life before the internet?

My memories:-)

Once upon a time, in the dark ages before the internet, life was a series of endless mysteries. Imagine needing to consult an encyclopedia, a 20-pound tome, to solve a heated debate about the capital of Kazakhstan. Back then, a “mouse” was just a rodent causing a ruckus in your kitchen. If you wanted to see pictures of cats, you had to rely on the neighbor’s tabby lounging in your garden.

Social media? Non-existent. Instead, we had “gossip,” the analog equivalent where news traveled at the speed of whispers. Shopping online was unheard of. You had to actually leave your house, brave the elements, and deal with the trials of finding a parking spot.

Kids had to do their homework with books and libraries, navigating the Decimal System like ancient explorers. And memes? We had knock-knock jokes, passed around on crumpled pieces of paper. Life before the internet was a real-life adventure, one laughable struggle at a time. Liam

Words!

What are you good at?

Poetry : Words

by Liam

Raise your choice of words,

not your voices

For words are vessels

Sailing upon the sea of today

Their cargo, your thoughts

As they navigate the waters of the soul

Seeking to rest in what we say.

So listen up!

What you hear is not me

You remember yourself

Through me

In this way, winds of wisdom

Carry us to new destinations

Each insight, a step closer to the heart,

a leap closer to mankind.

Do you, “Have it all ?”

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

In the context of personal development, to “have it all” generally means achieving a fulfilling and balanced life across various dimensions, such as career success, personal relationships, health, financial stability, and personal growth. This concept emphasizes:

1. Career Success: Achieving professional goals, feeling fulfilled and recognized in one’s work.

2. Personal Relationships: Having strong, supportive, and meaningful relationships with family, friends, and partners.

3. Health and Well-being: Maintaining physical and mental health, and engaging in self-care practices.

4. Financial Stability: Attaining financial security and the ability to live comfortably without constant financial stress.

5. Personal Growth: Continuously learning, growing, and pursuing passions and interests outside of work.

The idea of “having it all” is highly individual and subjective, as it depends on personal values, priorities, and definitions of success and happiness. It often involves finding a balance that allows one to enjoy various aspects of life without feeling overwhelmed or sacrificing one area for another. Simple said, be a little loving in all you do. Flying By

by Liam

I commence my meditation, swiftly borne,

By inner power, my mind’s own subtle force,

Which grants awareness in its quiet form,

Thus my mindfulness bestows a gentle course.

I am not this mind,

Nor body’s my fragile shell,

Nor merely I,

A child of Nature’s grand, celestial spell,

Yet a person touched by light from yonder sky,

A being with perspectives broad and high.

To nurture good, to grasp the essence true,

To journey forth beyond the self’s confines,

And reach the boundless space where one is free—

This is no deity, no distant shrine,

But humankind’s own noble destiny.

As freedom I embrace,

And you shall see,

In this shared grace,

We shall be free.

Friends

Could a ray of light be brighter
Than the sparkle in your eye?
The smile that’s full of diamonds,
Your hair like gold and rye!

We find a friend
We feel complete
We touch the sky
We shed a cry
We hear the beat

I touched your lips, the softness
Sweet music in the air.
I felt your skin, the warming
A face, your beauty fair.

So each moment is unique
The clock ticks on
The high clouds sweep.

We find a friend
We feel complete
We touch the sky
We shed a cry
We hear the beat

It echoes… reverberates
Our universe… pulsates
My heart… generates

The power of joy
The elation, the fun
The laughter and smiling
The feeling of ONE.

We find a friend
We feel complete
We touch the sky
We shed a cry
We hear the beat

Create Freedom

What does freedom mean to you?

From my perspective, freedom is not about external circumstances, but rather about internal mastery and autonomy. It’s the ability to maintain tranquility and virtue regardless of external events or constraints.

It involves accepting what cannot be changed and focusing on what can be controlled: our thoughts, actions, and attitudes.

In essence, freedom is found in living in accordance with nature and the rational principles of virtue, rather than being enslaved by desires, emotions, or external pressures. Freedom is something we can create!
