Poem: Seeking

Poem: Seeking

by Liam

In the shadows we wander, lost and blind,

But in darkness, is a truth to comprehend,

For within ourselves, light does ascend.

Seeking that truth we cannot seem to find.

No need to search beyond, no need to roam,

Embrace the darkness, let it be your friend,

And in its depths, your seeking will find its end.

For within our souls, the Light finds its home

Now we become the light that of desire,

In every step, we find the path to inspire.

No longer lost, no longer in flight,

For in ourselves, we find eternal light.

Spring

Poem: Spring

by Liam

It’s the leaves in spring, about to bud .

Which swell and greet the coming flood.

Of warmth, the splash in a

puddle of mud.

On branch, on twig, on every stem.

Chlorophilled life is hidden within.

A waiting blossom,

A patient leaf.

An insect becomes the quiet thief.

Will furl it’s wing, take to the sky.

The blossom, a bee to the pollen will cry.

An ode to glorify this day.

Its spring again, I t’s life anew

It’s bud, blossom and green leaf too.

In this all abundant way,

We rejoice and laughing say:

Yes! yes! Yes!

To the beauty of life, this day.

How to chill.

How do you unwind after a demanding day?

Yeah, few ideas that I incorporate during a busy week.

Take a warm bath or shower to relax your muscles and soothe your mind.

Practice deep breathing exercises or meditation to calm your thoughts and release tension.

Go for a power walk in nature or engage in gentle exercise to clear your mind and boost endorphins.

Listen to calming music or sounds, such as nature sounds or soft instrumental music.

Engage in a creative activity you enjoy, such as drawing, painting, or writing.

Call or spend some time with loved ones or pets, enjoying their company and sharing positive experiences.

Treat yourself to a favorite snack or beverage, indulging in a small pleasure to lift your spirits.

Practice mindfulness by focusing on the present moment and letting go of worries about the past or future.

Read a book or watch a movie that transports you to a different world and helps you escape temporarily.

Write in a journal to reflect on your day, express your emotions, and gain perspective on your stressors.

These activities were put into motion will enable you to chill. Liam.

Loves Affirmation

Sonnet: Loves Affirmation

by Liam

Love’s affirmation, transforms forever,

Transcends by growth, true love we spent

A mysterious desire, of insidious intent

You, the lover, and me, together.

Our hearts, our skin, our perspiration, entwine

“Berührung”, is us touching deep,

Enraptured by its depth, we leap,

This meaning reveals the divine.

Caught in love’s unifying embrace,

Amazed by love’s potent surge and power,

A bond that grows with each passing hour,

Transmuting us to harmonious grace.

It’s love, you and me, caught in synchronicity,

This our agreement shared for all eternity.

Sonnet: Longing

Sonnet: Longing

by Liam

In this yearning pain, love’s ardor takes flight,

For ’tis in longing here sweet treasures lie,

A dance betwixt two souls, concealed from sight,

As if our beings touch through veils awry.

What lies between us, is a realm unseen,

Where hopes and dreams they intertwine with grace,

A realm where magic, truth, and care convene,

And bind our spirits in loves embrace.

Do my feelings reflect the truth you see?

And does my gaze perceive your love’s decree?

In movement, we entwine, within emotion’s spell,

This metaphor of longing in which we both dwell.

Though distance may persist, our hearts remain,

Connected by the longing, that knows no pain.

Exercise

What’s the most fun way to exercise?

Day in and day out, Instagram overloads me with muscle rippling bodies, and supposedly simple ways to achieve them.

But now almost 70 years old it’s not what I’m after. my time of day is in the morning with the sun about to come up. I’ve got my sport shoes on, my EarPods plugged and an audiobook tuned in at the right level.

It’s powerwalking, it’s straining fast with intention, through as much free nature as I can find that invigorates body, mind and soul. Enjoy. Liam

best BOOK

What book could you read over and over again?

The novel “Dune” was written by Frank Herbert, an American science fiction author. It was first published in 1965 and has since become one of the best-selling science fiction novels of all time.

I know it’s silly but I’ve read it five times. It really is brilliant. Liam.

Finding INFINITY

Poem: Finding Infinity

by Liam

It’s when my body’s weak, not strong,

My breath, its flow, is soft and slow.

Eyes, they burn,

Onto my aching side, I turn.

Here, thinking is my feeling, Feeling thoughts which intertwine.

It’s deep to reach my inner speech,

Walk around inside my mind.

Those soft persuasive voices,

The conversation between Me and me.

The things I do,

The decisions made,

The here, the now,

The story played,

The wonder of a wish come true,

The simple fact of me and you.

Not time, but rhythm, a calling,

Words, thoughts, we dance, we sing,

Into the music of this space,

All quiet, absolutely true, this ring.

Gratefully gliding, moving,

We spin timeless to the floor.

Serendipity’s grin,

Eternity’s win,

Creativity’s cry,

Magical eye.

Grateful with this art,

Mindful mind, I see, not me.

Nothing, really firm at all,

Happily lost in infinity.
