Poetry: Our Deeds

In shadows deep, a tale I’ll weave,

Of deeds untamed, that souls believe.

Of dirt and grime, will you be deceived,

My story of the dirty deed?

With heart unsteady, hands not clean,

I tread on paths few eyes have seen.

The weight of chance, plants its seeds,

Within the folds of my dirty deeds.

But hark! I find no place to hide,

For truth and guilt stand side by side.

In tasks of darkness, what will decide,

Your dance with shadows, deep inside.

So let us strive, with hearts anew,

To build a life that’s fair and true.

Though past is stained, and heart has bled,

A chance to mend the deeds we’ve spread.

Indeed, in every step we try,

A chance to rise above the dread.

To write our story that we need,

Beyond the realms of those dirty deeds.

Poetry: Children of Earth

Am I at the mercy of cutting cold’s embrace?

It’s a poignant reminder that I’m still alive, ablaze.

My warm heart stands resilient, benevolent,

Unyielding to doubt, threat, or negligence.

From the periphery, cold comes, stealthy and sly,

Seeping through skin, causing a quiet cry.

Fingers, toes, cheeks, nose, all succumb,

As it merges into my core, freezing me too numb.

I then gather strength, a battle begins,

Facing this cold, as determination wins.

Gaze fixed upon the warming ray,

Love’s radiance, these cold doubts it’ll slay.

Love that burns as worth’s unwavering counterpart,

The flame of eternal hope, a beat of an inspired heart.

This legacy I’ll hand down, a gift to embrace,

For all the children of Earth, irrespective of race.

Blue, all blue and green, the growth,

Its soul, all soul, the singing world’s suspense.

I’ve heard across the oceans, thundering, both,

Above the forests too, its whispering response.

Sweet voices, blown in on the breeze,

Fine tunes awake in my awareness, exhale.

Capture my attention, initiate the intent, freeze,

Then stretch forward, open to embrace then inhale.

Birdsong brings joy to this day,

Enhances the way I perceive my rhyme.

An entity among the myriads, life has brought forth today,

Reminding myself, it’s but a dash through time.

We read lines, we hear rhyme,

We sigh, we become sublime.

A purpose hidden, like a treasure rare,

Thou runn’st, a phantom, desperate and meek,

From tranquil haven, lost to worldly glare.

Unchain the agony that grips thy soul,

Release the shackles of desire’s cruel plea,

No longer be ensnared in futile goals,

But find thy solace ‘neath the forest’s tree.

Beneath the verdant canopy, a blossom,

Awaits your tender touch, thy heart to bless,

No more the game of seeking endless custom,

Thine own soul’s kingdom, thy soul’s finesse.

Embrace this path, where quiet blessings reign,

And in thy truth, this sovereignty regain.
