Poetry: Chrysalis

Could I look inside anothers soul?

Augment my sight with empathy

Scan the faces of those others

While reading the reality of their lives

Feelings, those unspoken sufferings

Hidden behind the masks

A thousand tiny lies

A hundred false giggles

Is one sad face,

looking for recognition

In there, waits the lonely wanderer

Wanting wisdom

Speak but the truth,

Words which the searcher seeks

This is strong mana, let it penetrate the skeptical

World of sunshine

Let it awaken in the light of recognition

For it’s a dark stew of pain which prepares the gain

It’s an imminent desire to crack open the Chrysalis

Allowing the butterfly’s wings to be born.
